Air Jordan 12 Flu Game

Air Jordan 12 Flu Game 1997 OG 2003 Retro 2009 Retro Comparison

As you’re probably well aware by now, the “Flu Game” edition of the Air Jordan XII  will be making its second go-around as a Retro model. Much to the dismay of some collectors, in addition to the new Flu Game graphics that have been included on the new version, the material of the upper has also been switched to suede. While this isn’t as big an issue to some as to others, the change is still very noticeable. In a rare look at three versions of the same Air Jordan, we have photos comparing three version of the Air Jordan XII that span 12 years. Originally released in 1997, the original version of the Jordan XII in black and red appeared.

The first retro in the same colorway appeared in 2003, and the “Flu Game” permutation of the shoe just released at many Jordan retailers. From left to right we see the series in chronological order from 1997 to 2003 to 2009. Most noticeably, the upper material has changed from a smooth leather to a premium tumbled leather to suede. The specific tooling related to the “Flu Game” theme is evident as well in the sickly looking emoticon on the tongue and the stamp on the heel.Although the switch does give sneakerheads something to complain about, a look at the two previous versions shows that even the 2003 Retro featured some slight differences from the 1997 OG model.

As you can see through these comparison shots, the OG upper was a smooth leather, while the the 2003 Retro model sported a more full-grain pebbled leather look. Aside from the upper material and the special “Flu Game” touches, the only other major change is on the heel.Another major change is the tab on the heel that has ‘”Jordan” in white instead of red. The heel “23″ is red on red instead of black on red. Check out the pictures to find some more slight changes between the models.

Air Jordan V (5) – Jared Jeffries Home PE

Air Jordan V (5) – Jared Jeffries Home PE

There have been some pretty fresh looking pairs of Player Edition sneakers popping up here and there. In addition to the "Away"colorway, a "home" pair of Air Jordan Vs were made for Jared Jeffries as well.

With the surfacing of the Jared Jeffries AJ 5 – Away’s, we now look at the Home versions.  Taking on a white upper, the orange accents on these samples don’t really do the Knicks’ team colors justice.  Looking more of a red than Orange Flash, it only forces us to think about the Fusion 5’s that comes in a seemingly similar colorway.

This pair has a similar theme, except they have a primarily white upper instead of the black one seen on the away version. Nonetheless, its a rare find.  Take a look after the jump at what rate of this particular pair is going for.

Air Jordan V (5) – Shawn Marion Phoenix Suns Away PE

Air Jordan V (5) – Shawn Marion Phoenix Suns Away PE

Although Shawn Marion is no longer part of the Phoenix Suns, he did have a good run playing alongside Steve Nash. Being a Jordan Brand athlete, the Matrix was fortunate to receive several Player exclusives, including several colorways in the Air Jordan 5 (V) model, which are seen here. The last few days have been heaven for fans of Air Jordan Player Exclusives; we saw one worn by Jordan’s son and another worn by the man himself.

Taking it down a notch but still worthy of a few gasps is the Air Jordan V Shawn Marion Away PE, in black, orange, and purple. It’s the obvious antithesis to yesterday’s Air Jordan V Shawn Marion Home PE; black engulfs the upper to complete the Away look, and Marion’s 31 stitched onto the heel and the orange-speckled purple shark’s teeth are  details to take note of (and envy).

This pair was obviously maintained well, as the clear netting and bottom sole are absolutely iced out. Read on for more images.

Nike Air Max2 CB ‘94"Black/Varsity Red"

The most famous Charles Barkley model gets brought back in the likeness of one of his greatest rivals and best friends. Baring a Black/Red ‘Chicago Bulls’ style color scheme, the Nike Air Max2 CB ’94 is back in business. Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan maintain a healthy friend and foe relationship. While close friends, the two held a rival for years during their time in the NBA and still, at times, jock one another. With that being said, Sir Charles probably wouldn’t be to happy to see the latest release of his old signature sneaker, the Nike Air Max2 CB ‘94. In a Black/Varsity Red color scheme, the sneakers could easily pass for a Chicago Bulls-inspired colorway. Or, if you’re willing to make some exceptions for the Black, these could of worked during Barkley’s early years with the 76ers, although that ended in ‘92, 2 years before he got his contact with Nike for his own signature model.

Air Jordan Melo M7

We’ve only seen two sets of pictures so far to prove its existence, but another NBA season means another Carmelo Anthony signature from Jordan Brand. The Air Jordan Melo M7 is the latest in what has become JB’s longest running non-Air Jordan annual release, and this colorway will be right at home with Melo on Denver.

Aside from Michael Jordan himself and his line of signature Air Jordan’s, Carmelo Anthony has the longest running signature collection with Jordan Brand. The 3-time NBA All-Star is up to his 7th signature sneaker with the brand, properly titled the Jordan Melo M7, which he’ll be wearing as he suits up for his 8th and possibly final year with the Denver Nuggets. Amongst some of the colorways he’ll be wearing throughout the season are the two shown here. The first of the two features a White/Metallic Silver-University Blue-Maize colorway, an obvious nod to the “Home” colors of the Denver Nuggets, on an upper constructed mostly from patent leather. The second pairs consists of a White/Black-Red color combo with a full-grain leather build

Air Jordan Campus Chukka

The Air Jordan Campus Chukka was introduced last summer as part of Jordan Brand’s dabbling in the off-the-court footwear game. Despite the Campus name, the design of the shoe shows the JB is aiming for the older crowd whose sneaker game has transferred from Jays and Air Maxes to lifestyle fits and finishes. This newest colorway of the Jordan Campus Chukka features light bone and medium grey to go with a pair of dark-washed jeans or some cargo pants.

Air Jordan Hallowed Ground

Each year, the Boston Celtics to break with special uniforms to celebrate what I have to be the most popular festival in their city was largely influenced by the un-Irish. St. Patrick's Day green and gold, like Notre Dame and the Detroit Pistons could not keep pace in this fight. The CD value trampled by a quarter-century of points and Ray Allen made sure luck was on their side using a little hot in white gold Grounds Air Jordan sanctified. Green Jumpman logo embroidered in clover and medial heel made the perfect combination to beat last night, and you can see more photos after the jump.
Air Jordan Hallowed Ground

Nike Air Max 1 x Hyperfuse Fall 2011 Preview

In one of the more logical hybrid makeups in recent memory it looks as if Nike will be combining the Air Max 1 with Hyperfuse technology to bring us the Nike Air Max 1 Hyperfuse. This is the sample version of the sneaker but it looks as if the fused upper conforms to the Air Max aesthetic perfectly and gives the shoe lightweight breathability that we can hardly imagine when paired with the comfort of the Air Max sole.

The Hyperfuse material first made their appearance this year on basketball sneakers as system to add breathability to Nike sneakers. Next the build will be used on the Nike Air Max 1, which has seen techy builds with flywire and Torch technology both in 2009 and 20010. The Nike Air Max 1 Hyperfuse is expected to drop as part of the Nike Sportswear fall 2010 collection. Featuring a Black hyperfuse technology on the upper, blue can be spotted on the mudguard, outsole and tongue branding. These sneakers have perfect aesthetics and performance attributes. Unfortunately, these are only samples and no information is available on their release. So, stay tuned with us for more updates and we promise to keep posting on this.

Nike SB Zoom Paul Rodriguez 4 High"Black / White"

The Nike SB Zoom Paul Rodriguez has been made available in a high cut, following the release of two Lows that were recently put on shelves nationwide. This pair owns a black upper, with suede appearing on the mid- and forefoot. The midsole is white, while the liner owns an off-white hue. Earlier this week, has brought new images of the Nike SB V-Rod is ready to launch next year. Now we have a look at the Nike SB P-Rod 4 Collection, available in a low top and a boot-shaped edition. The low-top model comes complete in a simple black and white colorway, making use of suede and smooth leather on top. We also have a look at another edition of upper low P-Rod 4 complete wearing a tan top, with red, white and black accents everywhere.

Nike Aina Chukka “Obsidian”

Nike Aina Chukka Obsidian has kept its refreshing features of minimal branding and wearable edge above any of its kind. The Aina Chukka comes with a woven upper of navy blue suede and moccasin-inspired lacing system along the sides, and has been matched to a white vulcanized sole with distinct detail of red diamonds stripe.

While the main focus has always been at Nike Sneakers that were most suitable for the sport, they also have an equally large catalog of shoes that are intended strictly for casual wear. These sneakers in general, tend to be cheaper than your shoe and sportswear as there is no need to include the latest technology in a pair of shoes that are to use the light as it has to do with shoes that have intend to have more of a beating. Today we take a look at one of the most popular shoes casual wear, this is the new Nike Aina Chukka in this new obsidian colorway.

Nike Zoom Hyperfuse “Eggplant”

Fixing the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse"Eggplant" colorway Nike continues to grow, leading models each and every season with the color palette. The latest sneaker to reach dealers in the color scheme chosen is the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse. The basketball shoe lightweight and breathable characteristic eggplant color over most of the sneaker, leaving little room for a secondary color. Black, however, manages to work a little is the way in the mix to complete the look, appearing in bright Swoosh, jumping on the outsole and covered heel cords included.

Eggplant colorways have been all over the place since the Nike Air Foamposite One was re-released in that colorway just a year after the huge initial drop in 2009. ‘10 has seen everything from the Shox R4 to the Air Pippen II in that unmistakable pearlized metallic purple shade, and while it’s actually Club Purple instead of the Varsity version, we wouldn’t blame you for seeing this new Nike Zoom Hyperfuse as the ‘Eggplant’ Hyperfuse. These come in the Hyperfuse’s simplest black-on-color blocking pattern and should show up in a couple of months at Staples Center.

Air Jordan CP3 IV | First Look

A few weeks ago we got our first glimpse at the upcoming Jordan CP3 IV . Today we get a better look at the fourth signature shoe for star point guard Chris Paul. New pictures reveal a slightly different upper than that of our first look. The lower cut model features an aggressive design in a White/Orion Blue-Black colorway. I debuted a glimpse at Chris Paul’s upcoming fourth signature shoe awhile back, the Jordan CP3.IV, and now another look has leaked. For the full breakdown check out the original article, and now straight to the pictures, most below the cut. Chris Paul’s signature model with the Jordan Brand will see another season with the unveiling of the Air Jordan CP3 IV. The kicks host a graphic on its upper created from triangular shapes and a perforated strip, to name a few differences. With a new Podulon cushioning system the sneakers look to pick up where the CP3 III left off.
